The Challenge
Kirkgate Dental Surgery is a well established family practice in Tadcaster, Leeds, with nearly 30 years of service. Since Matthew and Jonathan took over in 2018, it has grown into a respected referral practice for complex treatments, including dental implants and Invisalign. However, despite a strong clinical reputation, the practice was relying heavily on word of mouth and had limited visibility online. With an increasingly competitive local dental market and patients turning to Google to find providers, Kirkgate needed a digital strategy that would drive measurable new patient enquiries and not just traffic.
Our Approach
Maitland implemented a multi-channel digital strategy through our Return on Spend (ROS) model, combining SEO, paid media, and paid social to build a high-performing acquisition engine for the practice. On the organic side, we overhauled Kirkgate's search presence, optimising on page content around high intent dental keywords, improving Google Business Profile performance, and building local authority. This laid the groundwork for consistent, compounding organic growth. We layered in Google Ads targeting specific treatment searches like dental implants, Invisalign, and emergency dentist to capture patients actively looking for care. Paid social was introduced to extend reach and build awareness among the right demographics in the Tadcaster, Leeds, and wider Yorkshire area. Every campaign was tracked against lead quality and revenue attribution, not vanity metrics. We monitored contact form submissions, click to call actions, click to email, and booked appointments to ensure every pound spent was accountable.
The Results
Within 12 months, traffic surged by 221%, with conversions growing by an impressive 429%. The practice hit a peak return on spend of 562%, and the average conversion rate climbed from 9.7% to 16.0%. This wasn't just traffic, it was qualified leads converting into booked appointments and real revenue for the practice.
